Current hardware.
Macbook Air 7,2, 8gb ram, 128gb ssd Intel i5 I have been using Linux since the early 90's, from building a system from source code to proudly getting my first distro box set from Red Hat Linux back in the day. I have used Linux side by side with Mac's for years now with an occasional Windows machine for some various project I have had to work on. My current hardware as many will know is problematic at times for Linux installs, however it can be made to work and the combination of Apple hardware and Linux is a solid choice if you can get past a few niggles. I have in the past installed Linux distributions on various hardware with, at times, problems with various hardware in those laptops but I tend to prefer Apple's hardware which also gives me a good use for my old Apple laptops. My current Linux Macbook is not used for gaming, so the 8Gb of ram and 128Gb SSD is used mainly for Linux coding in C, Assembly and Python.
